You know things are bad when people begin to realize that they’d be better off not being a part of the 50 states. Things are obviously that bad in Detroit, as we have discussed numerous times.
But in a broader sense, this is a reaction to an overreaching government and the long march of statism generally.
So now, the question is, how bad do things have to get before the powers that be say “yes”?

Bureaucracy isn’t efficient. Bureaucracy doesn’t care about you. This is the way government is. Government cannot love you.
But providing care and benefits to U.S. veterans IS a legitimate function of government, so we have to deal some sort of bureaucracy when it comes to veterans’ care.
