Speech Includes Renewed Call to Close Guantánamo
While the Benghazi cover-up remains in the headlines, President Obama will move to shift the focus Thursday in a wide-ranging speech designed to define the administration’s counterterrorism policy.
In the speech scheduled for delivery at the National Defense University in Washington, Obama will once again call for closing the U.S. military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. In addition, the president will address the controversial use of drones to attack terrorists.
