Texas SBOE To Dump Common Core-Aligned Freakish Math

Glory, hallelujah! The Texas State Board of Education has heard the outcries from thousands of Texas parents who are outraged over the Common Core-aligned way math is being taught to their children. The SBOE is to vote on an amendment at its April 18 meeting “to remove references to mathematical process skills [i.e., Common Core-aligned methodology] from knowledge and skills statements in the mathematics Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).”
