Since the election, New York Times writers have been desperately uncorking one trash-Trump headline after another, pounding the drums of the narrative that the Democrat-servile mainstream media will be flogging non-stop for the next four years.

In fact, Times editors may as well have issued the following internal memo:

To all our writers: Donald Trump’s election was a colossal blunder. He’s a cave man – a crude, dangerous, bull-in-a-china-shop billionaire who has no idea what he’s doing. He will commit one clumsy error after another in both domestic and foreign policy –  a continuing embarrassment to America – until he can be replaced one way or another.

It’s our job to confirm this narrative every day, especially with every headline we write. Our readers may not read the articles, but even the rubes will detect the pattern in those headlines. So keep that narrative front and center. Pound away at it, over and over.

In case you’re skeptical, here is just a six-day sampling of New York Times Trump-related headlines. Can you spot the implicit narrative?

Evidently, the great “Gray Lady” has become so thoroughly inbred that this is all she knows how to do anymore. Times writers and editors have become parodies of themselves. And of course the rest of the Democrat-servile media follow suit. After all, no writer, reporter or editor in those media ever got fired for following The New York Times.

As a once-proud enterprise, The Times is in deep trouble with declining circulation and financial woes. Yet they go on and on, paddling faster and faster toward extinction, seemingly without limit.

I don’t know what can save The Times except perhaps an epiphany and abrupt reversal like that of William Bradford at Plymouth Plantation.

Times owners could begin by swapping out half their automaton writers for conservatives like Victor Davis Hansen, Thomas Sowell, Newt Gingrich and other conservative writers like those at American Thinker. That could make The Times interesting again – almost overnight. Hire them, pay them and publish them. Challenge your readers for a change.

The alternative is just the slow-motion train wreck we’re witnessing now.

Anyone can monitor The Times’ headline writers for free by signing up at this link. I prefer the “Today’s Headlines” newsletter, but there are others. (Warning: they’ll bug you about subscribing, but you don’t have to.)

And as a final thought, should the Democrat-servile Times think it can convert Trump voters back to Democrat voters by labeling and shaming them as racist, xenophobic, homophobic “deplorables,” then they should watch the Tom Walker “Jonathan Pie – Why Trump Won” video that has drawn over 100 million views. It’s a great locker-room speech to the Left by a Leftist. It’s available at this link and is still drawing viewers. (But be forewarned – Walker’s language could make a sailor blush.)
