Boehner: It’s Not Just the Cancellations, It’s the Higher Costs Too
ICYMI . . .
WASHINGTON, DC – At a press conference with Republican leaders today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said the pattern of broken promises under the president’s health care law – from cancellation notices to higher costs – shows “why this health care law needs to be scrapped, now.” Following are Boehner’s remarks:
“You know, it’s not just Americans who are getting their cancellation notices that are upset, it’s everything that follows. What we’re seeing here is a pattern of broken promises from the administration.
“You know, the one is, well, ‘if you like your health care plan you can keep it.’ And I think most Americans are finding out that’s really not true.
“And then secondly, what the president said is that, you know, if we pass ObamaCare, premiums are going to go down. And I think what many people are seeing is that premiums are going right through the roof.
“Listen, it’s just one more reason why this health care law needs to be scrapped – now.”
