Rep. Gosar: The people have not forgotten and will not be fooled
Secretary of State Kerry Signs U.N. Arms Trade Treaty

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Obama Administration, through Secretary of State John Kerry, signed the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty. The treaty is aimed at preventing illicit global weapons transfers to terrorists and other rogue agents. The treaty does not become law unless the Senate ratifies it. Rep. Gosar issued the following statement after Secretary Kerry signed the treaty:

“Another day, another attack on the Second Amendment by the Obama administration. The Obama administration claims they are going after international arms transfers and illegal gun sales. The irony is that this same administration, through Attorney General Holder, engaged in illegal arms transfers in Operation Fast and Furious. The people have not forgotten and will not be fooled.”

Rep. Gosar continued: “As President Obama, Secretary Kerry and foreign dictators cheer on this gun-grabbing treaty, we must do all we can to make sure the Senate does not ratify it. Allowing foreign law to trump the Constitution not only disarms Americans but also tramples their liberties. I will do all I can to stop this administration’s steps toward gun confiscation and I urge the Senate to do the same.”

I'm not sure I understand the implications of this treaty, if ratified, for American gun ownership.  I doubt John Kerry understands it any better.
