Kelly Townsend and Chris Rossiter, Greater Phoenix Tea Party, Testify re IRS Abuses

Posted: August 30, 2013 at 9:45 am   /   by

On August 22, 2013, AZ State Rep Kelley Townsend (LD16), co-founder, and Chris Rossiter, President of the Greater Phoenix Tea Party testified at a Congressional Field Hearing on IRS and EPA abuse.   Present at the hearing were US House Representatives from Arizona Trent Franks, Paul Gosar, Matt Salmon and David Schweikert.

The Greater Phoenix Tea Party (GPTP) was founded in July of 2009.  Their application for tax-exempt status has been on hold for 32 months, a process that should normally take only 3-6 months. Evidently the IRS targeting is continuing unabated, even after the revelations that began appearing in May, 2013. The GPTP has filed suit against the IRS.

The full testimony of Townsend, Rossiter, and the questioning by the Congressmen are contained in the 19-minute video below.
