Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) Predicts Explosive Benghazi Testimony on May 8

In this 8-minute video from April 30, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) predicts May 8 Congressional testimony on Benghazi will provide major breakthroughs in understanding what actually happened, as well as uncovering grossly negligent management of the situation and the (apparent) cover-ups that followed.

Gowdy is openly skeptical about the President’s professed ignorance of witness intimidation allegations.  And he trashes the State Dept’s own investigation, opining that the investigation was deliberately designed to insulate Hillary Clinton, who was never even questioned by the investigators.  Says Gowdy: “There’s a reason students don’t grade their own papers, and defendants don’t sentence themselves.”

Greta Van Susteren infers, and Gowdy implies, that some of the eye-witnesses will be those allegedly intimidated by State Dept, CIA, and other officials.  He and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) appear to be planning this hearing with military precision and discipline.

A few days ago, I lamented that precious few Washington politicians dare to speak forcefully about radical Islam because they are either bound up in political correctness or terrified of the ridicule that the Democrat-servile media would heap upon them.  Rep. Gowdy may be one of the few exceptions.  It’s nice for a change to hear a politician who doesn’t dissemble, waver, or equivocate.

JUSTIFIED, JUSTICE MIGHT FINALLY BE DONE, I WILL NEVER FEEL SATISFIED UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED AND ALL AND ANY KNOWING AND NOT KNOWING, BOTH ARE JUST AS GUILTY (YOU CAN'T HIDE UNDER THE COVERS, YOU ARE GUILTY OF SUPPRESSING   EVIDENCE) ARE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE, REGARDLESS HOW HIGH IT GOES, AND IT GOES TO THE  POTUS, SECRETARY OF STATE, ATTORNEY GENERAL, GENERALS AND AND ANY AND ALL WHO WHO COVERED THIS UP!.

MY CALENDER IS ALREADY MARKED AND DAVID WILL KEEP US ALL UP TO DATE, HE KNOWS THAT THIS IS AMERICA ON TRIAL!

Trey Gowdy has been added to my "heroes" list.  It is obvious he really cares what is happening to the country and is unafraid to say what needs to be said.  He just uses plain jane common sense to move his ideas.  I'm so glad there are some in Congress who will do the right thing and fight the "behind the looking glass" SOPs of the Obama regime.

How can our president say Benghazi has been investigated "enough?"  This is a massive coverup and the state media is shamefully colluding with the enemy.  Benghazi is infinitely worse than Watergate.  The state media is silent.  It's no wonder Fox is at the top of the list of most trusted cable network news organizations.

@sleepergirl The strategy is to run out the clock. Scandals have a shelf-life. If too much time goes by before action is taken, the public is less interested, and it becomes easier to portray it as a witch-hunt by an obsessive bitter fringe. That is what they are trying to do, and it is a lot easier for them since they have the media in their pocket.

Quite right about the media.  That's why I continue to believe conservatives must *also* attack the Democrat-servile media for their dereliction of duty & journalistic malpractices.  The Dems will never do it, the media need to become more self-aware, and the GOP will win droves of new supporters.

Alas, most GOP politicians are still just too afraid of retaliation from the media.  I'd ask to those timid souls to look again at the standing ovations Newt Gingrich got when he attacked the media.

@WesternFreePress You are correct on the shelf-life point.  However, we are fortunate to have some new blood in Congress.  These bulldogs are pugnacious and won't back down from a fight.

Exactly. They should never underestimate the popularity of telling it like it truly is.
