WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S (AZ-04) spoke on the House floor urging support and final passage of H.R. 678, the Bureau of Reclamation Small Conduit Hydropower Development and Rural Jobs Act. Rep. Gosar put forth this legislation alongside Congressman Tipton (R-CO) to spur rural economic development and expand production of clean, renewable hydropower by removing regulatory hurdles. The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed H.R. 678, with a vote of 416-7.

Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) issued the following statement: “Americans have been hit hard by skyrocketing energy costs, especially during this recession. Swift action on our hydropower development and rural jobs bill could provide much needed relief. I applaud my colleagues for passing this jobs bill and look forward to the President signing it into law.”
