A shot of the Capitol while traveling to Shelly’s Backroom to have dinner and cigars with some wounded warriors. Shelly’s is grandfathered as one of the few places in DC where smoking indoors is still legal. The Russians will say of a smoky room that the smoke is thick enough to “hang an axe.” At Shelly’s, it was too thick to even see an axe hanging.
