Rep. Seel Commends Decision on State Exchanges
STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX (November 29, 2012) – State Representative Carl Seel (R-Dist. 20) concurred with Governor Jan Brewer’s decision to not pursue a state-run health insurance exchange in lieu of the federal government creating the exchange for Arizona.
As a new member of the House Federalism & Fiscal Responsibility and Reform & Human Services Committees, Representative Seel will help shape how Arizona responds to similar federal mandates.
Citing his approval of her decision, Representative Seel stated, “I am proud of Governor Brewer for having stood up for the taxpayers of Arizona. In light of her position on this matter, I look forward to introducing legislation that will allow Arizona to ultimately opt out of Obamacare as well as deal with other salient issues associated with the largely unpopular plan.”
