Sowell’s common sense in pictures
A while back, I received two images on the same day, sent to me by completely unrelated individuals, giving a quote from Thomas Sowell.
It’s funny how basic logic, expressed in a pithy quote, can pack such a wallop. These come from one of the most accomplished economists alive, and yet they express a common sense that any of us can easily grasp.
The first is more general, but it is a perspicacious indictment of the leftward intellectual trend of the last 150 years. The second is more specific, and brings up an inescapable flaw in the thinking (such as it is) of Obamacare’s proponents.
Take a moment and really think about these!
Ardently devoted to the cause of human freedom, he has worked at the confluence of politics, activism, and public policy for more than a decade. He co-wrote a ten-part series of video shorts on economics, and has film credits as a researcher on 11 political documentaries, including Citizens United's notorious film on Hillary Clinton that became the subject of a landmark Supreme Court decision. He is the founder of several activist endeavors, including AnyStreet.org (now a part of Western Free Press) and Liberatchik.com. He is currently the managing editor of and principal contributor to WesternFreePress.com.
