Arizona Republicans Moving Forward in Unity
Arizona Republican Party Unites Behind Primary Election Winners
PHOENIX – As voting has concluded in Arizona’s Republican primary and launched the winners into the campaign for the November 6th general election, Arizona Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey made this statement calling for all Republicans to unite behind the victors and work together for the good of Arizona.
“The candidates in our Republican primary election have had a vigorous and spirited debate about the problems facing our state and nation and how to solve them,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey. “Republicans have selected the best candidates to show voters how we’re going to turn the economy around get back on a course that will lead us to prosperity.”
Morrissey added that in addition to the Presidential Election, the top race in the state is for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Jon Kyl, who is retiring. The Republican primary election winner, Congressman Jeff Flake, is running against Richard Carmona, who was hand-picked by President Barack Obama to try to win the seat for a liberal Democrat who would support Obama’s agenda in the Senate.
“Arizona is firmly supportive of Republicans like Mitt Romney and Jeff Flake, and we never have approved of Obama and his extremely liberal agenda no matter who is pushing it, and that’s what this Senate election is going to be about,” concluded Morrissey.
