Newt Gingrich Endorses Kirk Adams for Congress

| August 15 2012

Western Free Press previously reported on Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Kirk Adams; now, we learn that Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and Republican presidential candidate, has also endorsed Kirk Adams for Congress in Arizona’s 5th District.

The list of endorsements for Kirk Adams continues to grow. The addition of Newt Gingrich’s support, coupled with Sarah Palin’s star power, is certain to infuse Adams’ campaign with even more energy and grassroots support.

Gingrich announced his endorsement on Facebook:

As a member of Congress, I led the fight against Hillarycare and was the first Republican Speaker in a generation. I led the team that balanced the budget, passed welfare reform, and grew our Republican majority. I know leadership when I see it. I see it in Kirk Adams.

Kirk shares my belief that our President has a left wing agenda intent on creating a society dependent on government. As Speaker of the House in Arizona, Kirk fought Obamacare from the start. He also passed welfare reforms to end government dependency. Kirk Adams has demonstrated the leadership necessary to fight for our conservative values in Washington.

I encourage the people in the 5th district to send a real leader to Congress. Join me in supporting Kirk Adams.

Kirk Adams’ Facebook page response was immediate:

Happy to have Newt Gingrich join with Senator Jon Kyl and Sarah Palin in support of my candidacy.

The campaign in Arizona’s 5th District is heating up, with grassroots support for Kirk Adams growing. Matt Salmon’s name recognition advantage now has to compete with Adams’ high-profile national endorsements.

It is not just Newt Gingrich or Sarah Palin coming to Kirk Adams’ side, but entertainers like Pat Boone.

The close race between Matt Salmon and Kirk Adams will continue to captivate not only Arizona voters, but also national political observers. Western Free Press will continue to cover the race.
