Republican Senate Candidate Ted Cruz, a Strong New Conservative Voice from Texas

Posted: August 6, 2012 at 5:00 pm   /   by

I’d heard of Ted Cruz, and I’d seen endorsements for him, but until he appeared today (August 5) on Fox News Sunday, I’d never heard him speak.  Cruz, of course, is the candidate that stunned the GOP establishment by coming from the very back of field to win a Texas runoff election for the Republican nomination for US Senator.

Chris Wallace’s 10-minute interview with Cruz shows that another strong Conservative voice will be added to the Senate in 2013.  Democrats and big-government/big-spending Republicans will soon be hearing more from Cruz.

Especially encouraging is Cruz’ description of how he won the nomination. As much as Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Axelrod, and Plouffe might wish it to be so, grassroots and Tea Party activism is far from “dead.”
