Another one bites the dust at ATF
The fallout from Operation Fast and Furious continues. More of the people involved with the scandal continue to leave their posts in government.
One of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officials at the heart of the Fast and Furious scandal has left the agency, an ATF spokesman confirms to POLITICO.
Spokesman Drew Wade said that, as of Wednesday, William Hoover was no longer with the agency.
Hoover served as the second-highest ranking official between from 2009 to 2011. According to the AP, he was put into a different post last year after questions about the gunrunning scandal were raised by Hill investigators.
Though, with Obama donating money to his own Presidential campaign, one has to wonder if this isn’t at least partially motivated by the sense that they might be out of their jobs very soon anyway.
