Carmona stuck with his support of Obama and Obamacare
Like Democratic candidates throughout the nation, Arizona Senate candidate Richard Carmona is in retreat from his mentor President Obama. His lame attempts to put daylight between himself and the president will not work. The voters know the truth.
Hand picked by Obama to run for the open Senate seat in November, Carmona is in a bind. He is tied to the president’s unpopular policies of big government power that threaten to sink the economy and deprive citizens of basic freedoms. There is nothing he can do about it. It is too late.
Left with no viable candidate to run for the open Senate seat in 2012, the president called Carmona last year and urged him to run. He jumped at the chance.
Now he is stuck running as a full-fledged liberal Democrat burdened with the president’s failed policies. The heaviest load is Carmona’s all out support for the president’s healthcare law that will break the bank and destroy the long honored doctor patient relationship. Carmona is a doctor, he should know better.
Yet he keeps denying that he has ties to the president. In one interview, Carmona claimed he had no connection to the president. Then he reiterated his conversation with Obama and the president’s request that he run for the Senate.
Carmona’s most recent attempt to escape the Obama label is his announcement that he will not attend the Democratic National Convention in September. What is he afraid of?
Carmona will not fool the voters. He is an Obama Democrat.
