Arizona Congressional Candidate Gabriela Saucedo Mercer signs Taxpayer Protection Pledge

TUCSON, AZ –   This week, I signed the Americans for Tax Reform’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge. It serves as my pledge to you that when I get to Congress, I will do the following:

1)  I will oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses.

2)  I will oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.

In addition to signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, I once again affirm that I am adamantly opposed to the tax increases contained in the Affordable Healthcare Act which was recently upheld by the Supreme Court on the basis of taxation. I am committed to protecting the taxpayer against what amounts to being the largest tax increase in our history.
