Gabriela Saucedo Mercer files 4X as many petitions as needed
Saucedo Mercer files nomination papers and petition signatures
Gabriela Saucedo Mercer, a conservative candidate for Congressional District 3, turned in over 1,200 petition signatures in support of her candidacy to the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office. Saucedo Mercer collected over four times the required minimum number of signatures required to qualify for the CD3 ballot. Saucedo Mercer is the first Republican candidate to file in the race.
Saucedo Mercer thanked her volunteers and supporters. “So many have worked tirelessly to see this day arrive,” Saucedo Mercer remarked. “The dedication of our volunteers has made it possible to bring representation back to the residents of Southern Arizona where it belongs. I will represent the people, not special interests groups.”
Saucedo Mercer, will serve as a citizen legislator, not a politician. She will fight for the backbone of our middle class; the small business owner. She will work to restore the American Dream, which has been eroded by the failed policies of the Obama administration, and her Democrat opponent, progressive congressman Raul Grijalva.
Over 1,200 petition signatures were collected by dedicated volunteers, not paid petition circulators. The campaign continues to gather signatures and expects to submit a supplemental filing prior to the May 30 deadline.
